I have a patriot chuck fitted with a 1” x 8tpi insert.
I am considering buying a lathe with a m33 x 3.5mm spindle thread - the Axminster AT1416VS.
I do not want to use an external thread adapter as there is not the length to spare in the lathe bed.
Can I buy a new back plate to convert my chuck or do I have to buy a whole new chuck?
