Just purchased a ProEdge sharpening kit along with the Fingernail Kit. I have a question with regard to the 2 nos settings on the jog knuckle. 1) the angle is graduated from 0, 2, 4, 6 and was set at 2 when received 2) the collet on the standoff shaft is not set in any recognised or calibrated position, although there is a scale ahead of it, from 1 to 3.
In the literature or in the videos i cannot find any reference to these 2 scales, can you advise what the scales refer to and how they should be set up?
Thanks and regards Macian

My understanding is they're in the position that would reproduce a factory grind on a Sorby gouge. Using the long grinding boss, each hole reflects what the factory grind would be for their standard grind, the fingernail grind and the long (Ellsworth)grind.
