Hi everyone newly back to turning after ten years and loving the ProEdge so much less stress. Is it best to use the cotton wheel and paste or the honing wheel?
thanks

For turning tools, I prefer the cotton wheel and compound (it's a stick, not a paste). The rubberized wheel has to be contoured to the tool, which means re-profiling it for every tool. The cotton wheel inherently conforms to the tool shape. Some care is needed to prevent rounding over the edge, but it doesn't take long to figure out where the limits are.

Thanks Jeff that's the direction I was leaning to.
