I wasn't liking the repeatability on the knife sharpening jig so I made some indicating marks between 28 & 15 degrees. It seems to work ok .   . |

Hi gus, looks like a great little mod.
I'll be getting a knife sharpening jig soon and will look at implementing the above mod.

Clever idea, Gus.
I have the impression that Sorby designed the Pro Edge for a target market who only wanted to resharpen edges set by the factory. In itself, there is notjing wrong with this focus. It is simole, effective, and probably suits most users. However, as Gus has demonstrated, the PE is capable of being a more flexible tool in skilled hands.
