Think it does come with belts, but that was a long time ago and I can't really remember!

I think I’m gonna do what you did and pull the trigger on the diamond belt once I get the machine in and get it set up.

Well I received my sharpener yesterday and I’m very impressed with the quality although there was a couple of things that I was concerned about the capacitor for the motor was just dangling on the power lead and not fastened so i manage to fasten it with some industrial cable ties that I had lying around there’s also a small ding in the upper pulley I don’t think that will affect her performance any I was just surprised to see it with the quality of this, that that could get out of the factory that way I’m not aware so far of anywhere that sells replacement parts where I could obtain a new pulley and it’s not worth it for me to send this thing all the way back so until I can obtain a replacement I’m going to use it the way it is but All in all a solid little sharpener and I can’t wait to start making some shavings so I can sharpen up some chisels. it did come with three belt which was awesome! Let me know if you guys ever heard of these two issues or is it just a fluke.

Rick, take photos of the problem and sent them to sales@robert-sorby.co.uk FAO Clive Brooks
Which country are you in? learned recently that the Canadian importer has to switch out the capacitors to meet Canadian standards

No problem I hope he is OK to the sharpener isn’t giving me any trouble the only thing I can think that possibly could happen with the top Idler wheel being nicked up is premature wear to the back side of the belts other than that it seems to perform flawlessly

Good morning everyone...Sorry for my absence but work life has been rather manic over the past few weeks which culminated in our factory having to close down for two weeks due to a Covid outbreak amongst staff We are all back at it and hopefully fighting fit If you still have unanswered questions...Please send an email to sales@robert-sorby.co.uk for my attention and I will endeavour to get to them as quickly as I can
