The angle of the fingernail profile jig should be 120deg, because if my fiddling!!!, Mine is set at about 117deg. I have reground all my spindle and bowl gouge with this angle, they all seem to perform ok My question is should I leave well alone, or reset my jig to 120deg and regrind all my gouges. I am quite new to turning so don't have that deep understanding that some members gave

117° is not far from 120°, as you have already reprofiled your tools to the jig as set and are cutting fine I would not worry about it. When I hand sharpen (selected tools) I am likely to be 1 or 2 degrees off of the angle anyway it drifts back and forth around that sweet spot! IF you are in a reprofiling mood, or you buy a new tool, that would be the time to reset it to 120°
