Do you sell replacement screws to attach the cutter to the TurnMaster? If not, what is the size/thread pitch?

Hi John
I have seen packs of these screws in my local Robert Sorby dealer, best first point of call is to ask yours, failing that Email Robert Sorby direct on sales@robert-sorby.co.uk

If I purchase the Soverign utima, should I also purchase the Hollowmaster, additionally I am thinking of purchasing Turnmaster and last the deep hollowing system. I’ve been using the Soverign system for a number of years, so will only purchase those items needed. Billd

Good morning billd... If you go for the Sovereign Ultima you will not require the HollowMaster ( I know I am talking you out of a sale but I much prefer to give useful and honest advice), as you will be doubling up on hollowing tools and the Ultima is more advanced than the Swan neck HollowMaster as it has an articulated head and heck system and uses a cutting tip with a cut limiter, rather than a scraper tip The TurnMaster can be extremely useful in many different scenarios, so although you might have the Ultima the TurnMaster will add to your very useful woodturning tool armoury...I hop this helps with your purchasing decisions

Thanks for the feedback. I reached out to Sorby at the provided email address. Anxiously awaiting their feedback. It was a pretty exciting event when the head of the screw failed while in use - throwing the cutter.

Hope that threw the cutter into a hollow form! I lost one of my hollowing tool (not a Sorby one) which took me ages to find it was on the opposite side of the workshop! Not sure what the current lockdown restrictions are doing with Robert Sorby staffing / production, but based on previous personal contact and feedback here on the Forum they are pretty quick normally.
