Hi I wonder if anyone can help? The belt platform on my PE has become loose from the motor housing, the first bright metal Piece after the black housing???

The belt platform is a consumable part so is just bolted on, if it is loose, take the cover and belt off and you will see the bolts under the table just tighten it up.

No it’s the whole platform from the motor housing that’s loose.

OK going out to the workshop to look at mine, do you have a photo you could upload?
OK so am in the workshop, you have 2 x hex screws front and back that allow the belt angle to change, on mine the back screw is just tight enough to cause some friction, front screw I pinch up to hold the position of the belt, I can call in help from the company but obviously not on a Sunday, but Clive will probably want a photo to work from as well.

I’m not sure how to add a photo but it’s loose between the black motor housing and the first unpainted metal part

If you click on Reply on the right of the screen then click the Add Attachment also on the right of the screen you can add a photo. Problem I have is my motor is black, and the main frame attached to the motor is also black, the only unpainted part it the backing plate for the belt. So I am not sure which bit is loose!

This is causing 5-8mm of movement at the top by the belt tensioner. I noticed a small amount of movement a couple of weeks ago and has gradually got worse to the point that I've stopped using it.

Hi again chaps
I have spoken with Paul, our ProEdge cell leader and he suggests that he gets the machine back to service it, as it is one of the older machines and he wants to establish the cause of the issue and correct it Roy, please send the machine back to the Robert Sorby factory for the attention of Paul Richmond
Regards
Clive

You are welcome Roy, as you may have gathered I am not an employee just a keen user of Robert Sorby products, if I happen to own what you have problems with then I can often help, and when I can't I can call in the experts :-)
