this is my first post as new to woodturning , I obtained this tool but can’t seem to find replacement cutters for it , the overall length is 21 inches, a 10mm thread and the cutter has a 12mm hole , is this a genuine tool or has someone “made” it ? Thanks for any advice

Hi Trevor
I think that may be a home made tool simply because the hole should normally be 5mm not 12mm. certainly looks like a Robert Sorby handle, but that could have been a copy of the design or re-used handle
Any chance of a photo of the whole tool.
Pete

Thanks Trevor, I will pass this one back to Clive who works for Robert-Sorby and can get you information and hopefully point you in the direction of replacement cutters.

OK got the info now, it is a tool that was discontinued long ago, and replaced with the RS200KT RS200KT LINK which is the tool I was thinking it looked like, but with a 5mm not 12mm attachment screw, so in short, old discontinued tool, new cutters probably not available anywhere anymore. Just to clarify, I do not work for Robert-Sorby, I just use quite a lot of their tools and moderate this forum as I feel it is a good resource to have. but have been using Robert-Sorby tools for woodturning for over 10 years now. I do own the RS200KT, and I can't imagine where something of the size of that tool you have could be particularly useful.
