When does one choose one over the other? I'm wanting to hone the inside flutes of gouges mostly. Skews too. Do I have to purchase the mop if I already have buffing wheels? Wondering what the diameter is, and especially what the arbor size is. I'll be buying the PE today or Friday, SUPER stoked! Thanks! Rick in Oregon

Hi Rick.
The buffing mop is small about 3" to 3½" I find it does make a nice final polish on skews but seldom use it on gouges.
Be prepared to need to learn the PE, it is just another sharpening system, but it does work a little different to other methods and you need to practice the presentation pressure (not much).
One bit of advice I would give is pick up a belt cleaning rubber at the start, clogged belts don't work well.
