Does anyone know if Robert Sorby does chuck maintenance (for a fee). Or anywhere else that might do it? Mine isn't running very smooth anymore. Really don't want to take it apart myself.

Where are you located, Dalston?
Have you tried cleaning the face and jaws with a penetrating lubricant? It may just be accumulated dust and chips that are keeping it from running smooth.

They don't even have the courtesy to reply to a query on their website. I asked how to get the jaw sliders off

Life in Robert Sorby is chaotic at the moment as they try to get through the Corona Virus issues. I no longer have my Patriot chuck, however the backplate is removable to strip and clean it, only did it once but as I remember it the jaw sliders can be removed after you have taken the back plate off and removed the scroll plate. Be careful to note how to get it all back in alignment.

Hi Trevor, Just to clarify, have you fully fully disassembled the patriot chuck taking the sliders off the scroll? I never went that far in maintenance of mine. but if that is what you have done then turn the sliders thread part up, and arrange them so that the thread is continuous (minus the bit that was cut out obviously) the start of the thread 1, and it will go into any slot as long as it goes on the scroll thread in the right order it will work
