What is the purpose of the hole in the swinging arm that is closest to the front of the tool rest? I have not discovered any purpose for it. Attachments:

Hi Oldman, I am having difficulty identifying what that is from the picture, do you have a different angle? or can you give me a part number.
If it is what I think it is then the hole is for the 20° and 30° positions

It is the hole to the extreme right of the picture. I know the holes to the lower left are the threaded holes for setting the angles.

Got it now, have looked at mine and I also have no idea what that hole is for! I will bump it up the line see if Clive can enlighten us.
