Do you find u have to adjust the tracking for different belts or do you just leave it if it’s slightly off. once it’s set it doesn’t move just seeing a slight difference when changing belts Cheers

Every belt seems to track slightly differently, so long as it is all on the table and not widely off track I don't bother to adjust mine. 90% of the time I have the 240 grit belt on it's only when I hit a nail or bit of wire embedded in a tree that I have to regrind, mostly I am just polishing the tool back to sharp so I do set it up for that one, my 60 grit belt is about 2mm to the left my 120 about 1mm. The Trizak belts however are off to the right and off the table so I have to adjust for them.

Like any tool there is a learning curve to the ProEdge, but it is a shortish one and if you can't find your answers on the forum already please ask, it keeps me out of mischief and if I can't answer someone else, including Clive from Robert Sorby will do our best to help you along.

Being all fingers and thumbs, "what's left of them" at this tracking game. I realized I needed a Divvy guide to keep me on track. Reversing requires reversing belt and tracking. So ishing into wind, I set the eccentric pointing to 9 o'clock (back of machine) and grooved at 12. In hindsight it would have been at 1.
Five different belts were easy to do knowing the position.
Be aware that any modifications will risk losing warranty and in my case worse!

Hi Fred, know what you mean about the fingers, my wife makes me count them every time I leave the workshop! Once again an elegant mod to the ProEdge, that is more than I need, I adjust the tracking with the guard off, I guess a direction, if I have to pick the belt up off the floor then I turn it the other way a bit!
All my standard belts and now my new Diamond belt after it had bedded in, work without adjusting the tracking, the Trizact require about an eighth of a turn in one direction (nearly always followed by a quarter turn in the other direction because I am old and can't remember which way it is supposed to turn).
