Ladies & Gentlemen
I would like to try creating a Fingernail Grind on one of my chisels using the ProEdge
I see that I could buy a “ProSet” to set the distance that the gouge protrudes from the clamp but I would rather avoid spending more money if possible [since I'm a pensioner with a ptifully inadequate pension from the university].
I should be most grateful if somebody would kindly tell me the distances for the different angles.
I have spent all evening Googling for this but I can't find anything relevant
Please help
I look forward to hearing from somebody and thank you all, in anticipation, for your continued assistance. MC Black

I use 2-1/2" for my bowl gouge and 3-1/8" for my spindle gouge. Those protrusions with the standard (unmoved) settings on the Profiling Arm should give you very nice grinds.

35 = 112mm 40 = 84mm 45 = 62mm 50 = 44mm
Hope that helps.
