I have the Metric version of the Precision Boring Jig which has Guide Bushes of 6, 9 and 12mm but I have a need for a 10mm Bush to finish off a commission.
I have contacted Robert Sorby and the best they could come up with is use a 3/8" or the 12mm, Urgh! quite how this helps for my requirement?
Does anyone know where I might obtain a 10mm Bush to suit this Jig.

Do you know anyone with a metal turning lathe that could make one for you

I do have that option but the Bushes are Hardened.

That is the only problem. How about buying THESE then make a carrier from other metal drilling a hole through the carrier so a longer screw can grip the guide bush. Hope that makes sense and also assuming the guides I linked to are hardened and of the correct size to allow for a carrier.

I do have that option but the Bushes are Hardened. Richard If it's just for one job, does the bush need to be hardened? I made a jig similar to the Sorby one out of a length of inch square aluminium bar which I turned to fit the banjo and drilled a hole to take the Axminster bushes. I tapped a 1/4 inch Whit thread [because I had a suitable 1/4 White thumb screw] down the axis of the system to hold the bush in place. MC

As MC said shouldn't matter if its not hardened for limited use, but you could also use the 12mm bush with a 12mm x 1mm tube to pad the drill bit to the bush
