Let's say I want to buy the head for the the micro sandmaster and make my own handle.
What is the length and diameter of the tenon?
Thanx!

I trotally get that Pete, but I like to plan ahead - y'know? Make sure I have all the bits in place at about the same time so I'm not sitting around with a useless tool waiting for another part to arrive.
Having the dimensions will help in choice of ferrule.

True.... I usually keep a selection of ferrule's, usually bought at a show where I pick up a few of each because I cant remember what I have. this forum is unfortunately fairly quiet responses are not frequent, I would guess on a half inch ferrule being about right judging by pictures alone, I use a similar system but with a 50mm head.
One tip I can give you from experience is buy several heads as the damage gets done when changing the pads so its best to look at changing the head rather than the pad
